Born and raised in South Africa - My childhood was spent surrounded by nature, passionate about film, and obsessed with the need to create. By my mid-twenties I had moved abroad a few times, and taught myself how to edit video in my spare time.

Fortunately for me, I was given incredible opportunities to edit for some amazing brands and companies over the last several years. My desire to keep growing and learning steered me in a new direction - filmmaking - and I purchased my first camera and started making my own content.

 

Starting small with vlogs and travel films, I eventually transitioned to working on a few short narrative films. This opened up a whole new world of working on set, with a crew of likeminded individuals. I quickly noticed that I absolutely thrived in this environment and immediately fell in love with the process and decided to fully commit to filmmaking as a career.

 

After realizing how much I enjoyed both crafting a beautiful image on screen & also painting with light - I decided to pursue work in both camera and G&E departments - anything to be on set and learn from pros in either department. This experience from multiple department perspectives has been invaluable as I continue to learn and grow. 

As a cinematographer and filmmaker, my goal is to tell meaningful stories through the process of crafting beautiful images.
